Scoring Workouts


100 Trips

This is a very intense scoring workout that will take some time, and access to a full court with both baskets.  You can run this workout with a partner, as you'll spend the whole workout on one side of the court.  Let's break down the workout, the score keeping, and drills that go into the 100 Trips Workout

There are multiple elements involved in the 100 Trips Workout.  First, we are making 100 full-length trips down the court, and back.  One trip down = 1; one trip back = 1 for a grand total of 2 trips.  

There are two components of this workout
  • Ball Handling Moves
  • Scoring Finishes
  • Shooting

Ball Handling Moves
Your ball handling moves are as follows:
  • Crossover
  • Between the Legs
  • Behind the Back
  • Between the Legs + Crossover (Tim Hardaway)
  • Between the Legs + Behind the Back + Crossover (Rising Stars Triple)

Scoring Finishes
Your scoring finishes are as follows:
  • Basic Layup
  • Power Slide

Shooting 
Your shooting drills are as follows:
  • Middle Attack Jumper at Free Throw Line
  • Baseline Attack Bank Shot 15 ft
  • 3 Pointers

100 Trips Explained

20 Layup Attempts 
  • 4 Crossovers + Layup
  • 4 Between the Legs + Layup
  • 4 Behind the Back + Layup
  • 4 Tim Hardaway + Layup
  • 4 Rising Stars Triple + Layup

20 Power Slides
  • 4 Crossovers + Powerslide
  • 4 Between the Legs + Powerslide
  • 4 Behind the Back + Powerslide
  • 4 Tim Hardaway + Powerslide

Conclusion

As this grueling workout concludes, you would have made 100 trips, attempted 100 game-speed shots and had tracked your makes.  This is a workout you can do 1x a month or 2x a month tops.  This is a very demanding workout and will challenge your conditioning.  

This workout is not timed, the focus is quality reps versus finishing the workout as quickly as possible.  ​
