2nd Place Finish

Rising Stars Basketball 11U Girls (Geissler) took 2nd place at the Summer Hoops Jam in Germantown Wisconsin with a 2-1 finish for the weekend.

A great weekend of basketball, improvement and team gelling created some great opportunities for us to build our club into a well recognized team going into the Summer Hoops Jam in Germantown Wisconsin.

Rising Stars Basketball had a summer riddled with Covid-19 cancellations, and a tournament cancelled half way through the 2-day event for unsafe conditions, as well as other unplanned events. Nonetheless, the 11U Girls, 13U Girls and 17U Boys were able to finish out the fully scheduled summer season.

17U Boys Meet Again

The 17U Boys (DeCora) meet again at the Lac Courte Oreilles gymnasium for a game between Hurley and Lac Courte Oreilles. Just a few weeks earlier, South Shore was present and we had an opportunity to snap a picture with our friends from Hayward, South Shore, and Lac Courte Oreilles.

Minnesota Lynx Game

The Minnesota Lynx played a game against the, now, WNBA Champions, Chicago Sky.

We had 11U Boys, 13U Girls, parents and coaches on each level were in attendance. Everyone was invited, but the Minnesota Lynx and the Target Center imposed Covid-19 restrictions limiting our attendance.

However, this was a great opportunity for the athletes to spend some time together and watch some of the WNBA elite in a game of basketball. Every year, we plan to attend a Minnesota Lynx game with the whole team having the ability to attend.
