Rising Stars Basketball - Summer of 2022

2022 was a great summer of basketball that included 4 tournaments at Just-A-Game Fieldhouse in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin.  These tournaments were a great measuring stick of where our athletes should be in terms of skill, and game acumen.  

Rising Stars Gold

Rising Stars Gold was made of of athletes from Birchwood, Winter, Hayward, Lac Courte Oreilles, Ashland, and Hurley Schools.  These athletes were all class of 2024 athletes with a couple of 2025 athletes.  Rising Stars Gold finished 2-12 on the season, and had some great games with some very good teams.  

Rising Stars Silver

Rising Stars Silver was made up of athletes from Winter, Bruce, Hayward, Ashland and Hurley Schools.  These athletes were all Class of 2026 and 2027.  Rising Stars Silver went 7-5 on the summer, and took home the "Gard"ing Against Cancer Classic championship with a 3-0 finish.  For most of the athletes, this was the first time playing in AAU-level competition and took some time to gel before really making strides.  

Rising Stars Bronze

Rising Stars Bronze was made up of athletes from Winter, Hayward, Lac Courte Oreilles, Hurley, and Bayfield Schools.  These athletes were all Class of 2028.  Rising Stars Bronze went 3-11 on the summer.  The fast pace and crash course in skill development took some adjusting but the finish to the season was great.
