Rising Stars Athletes Attend 2022 WSN Fall ShowcaseHayward Wis - On September 11, 2022 two Rising Stars Basketball athletes were rewarded for their dedication and performance in the summer with free registration, compliments of Rising Stars Basketball to the 2022 WSN Fall Showcase.
Owen Corbine-Nelis Owen is a class of 2024 athlete attending Ashland High School in Ashland Wisconsin. Owen is an athletic guard with a huge upside that performed at a high level in the summer of 2022 for Rising Stars Gold. Owen is an athlete to keep an eye on, as he's currently by popular opinion, the best on-ball defender in northern Wisconsin. Owen came to Rising Stars Basketball in the summer of 2022 with his first year of playing high-level AAU basketball. Owen hit the ground running and was selected by the coaches and players as Team Captain. Owen has proven to be a great role model to the younger athletes. He takes the time to talk to the younger athletes, help them with their drills, or play a little 1-on-1 before practice. Kendal DeCora Kendal is a class of 2026 athlete attending Hayward High School in Hayward Wisconsin. Kendal is a combo-guard that has experience playing in the post, as well as on the perimeter. Kendal led the Rising Stars Silver team to a 7-5 record and winning the 'Gard'ing Against Cancer Classic Championship. Kendal had a busy summer playing AAU basketball, and attending four (4) showcase events, and led the Hayward 8th grade girls team to the Wisconsin State Tournament with a 17.8 ppg finish to her 8th grade year. |
