Gunnar Greuel Posting Statistically Historic Season

Winter Wis - Gunnar Greuel, a 2024 F for the Winter Warriors Boys Basketball program has been posting video game-like numbers in the 2022-2023 season.  In the 2021-2022 season Gunnar posted 4.8 points per game, and 8.9 rebounds per game through 25 contests.  In 2022-2023 Gunnar is averaging 17.7 points and 19.2 rebounds per game.  

The 19.2 rebound per game stat puts him in 1st place in the state of Wisconsin across all divisions (Source: Wissports).  

Gunnar also pulled down his 500th career rebound at home in the contest against Lake Holcombe.  Gunnar finished the game with 9 points, 19 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals.

Gunnar was also named National Player of the Week by PrepHoops, for the week of January 2 - January 8 whereas Gunnar posted 21 points and 23 rebounds at home against Flambeau, then 23 points, and 21 rebounds in a matter of 24 hours for a grand total of 44 points and 44 rebounds.  This is a remarkable feat for back to back games, let alone a 24 hour period.

Gunnar is on pace to finish his highschool career with 1,000 points and 1,000 rebounds.  Gunnar has also posted 16 double-doubles in the 2022-2023 season with 6 games remaining.
