Rising Stars Athlete Attends Multiple Showcase Events

Hayward Wis - Rising Stars Basketball athlete and Class of 2026 prospect, Kendal DeCora was invited to a wide range of showcase, exposure, and Elite Camp events in the summer of 2023.

The summer of 2023 was quite the busy summer for 2026 prospect, Kendal DeCora. She attend multiple events in addition to player a summer with the Rising Stars Basketball program.

WSN Spring Spotlight

On April 16, 2023 in Verona, Wisconsin at the Verona High School WSN held their annual Spring Spotlight. The WSN Spring Spotlight event provided strong competition, and on hand were various sports writers for WSN and PrepHoops, along with a couple of local sports writers following athletes within their region. In attendance were coaches from Madison College, Bryant and Stratton, UW-Stevens Point, Lakeland University, and St. Norbert.

College Coaches Showcase Camp

On May 6, 2023 in Minnetonka, Minnesota at the Hopkins High School the College Coaches Showcase Camp was held. This camp was invitation-only and provided instruction directly from college coaches. The coaches in attendance were from Milwaukee School of Engineering, Macalaster College, Siena Heights University, and Central College of Iowa.

College Coaches Showcase II

On June 19, 2023 in St. Bonaficious, Minnesota at Crown College the College Coaches Showcase II Camp was held. This was another invite-only camp, and provided some great instrustion, led by college coaches from around the midwest. In attendance were the College of St. Scholastica, Central College of Iowa, Macalaster College, Milwaukee School of Engineering, North Central University, and St. Mary's Unversity of Minnesota.

University of Minnesota Duluth Elite Camp

On August 3, 2023 in Duluth Minnesota, at the University of Minnesota Duluth the women's basketball program held their Elite Camp. In attendance were 63 athletes and recruiting prospects of the UMD Womens' Basketball program. This was a great event that leads prospective athletes through a full day of a UMD practice, allowing the prospects to experience what it is like to become a UMD Bulldog.

Minnesota State University Moorhead Elite Camp

On August, 5, 2023 in Moorhead Minnesota, at the Minnesota State University Moorhead the women's basketball program held their Elite Camp. In attendance were 48 prospective atheltes of the MSU Moorhead Dragon's women's basketball program. Another great event that provided a full day of MSU Dragon's practice. The camp included a campus tour and discussions regarding recruiting, admissions and what they look for in prospects to become MSU Moorhead Dragon Womens Basketball players.

Hamline University Elite Camp

On August 6, 2023 in St. Paul Minnesota, the Hamline University Womens Basketball program held their Elite Camp. This camp brought out 43 prospective athletes, allowing Hamline University to evaluate the athletes and provide insights and details into playing at the next level.

Prep Girls Hoops Top 250

This event is less impressive than the others, but is a great opportunity to play against some quality talent and assess strenghts, and see if the summer of development is paying dividends against the states top talent.

WSN Northern Exposure

WSN's first attempt and recognizing that Northern Wisconsin has quality talent is to hold a showcase in Menomonie Wisconsin. WSN, the go-to for standings, results and statistics in the state of Wisconsin has a solid platform for showcasing and promoting athletes that may be under-the-radar.

Kendal had a long summer of development and exposure to various collegiate basketball programs, she is looking forward to continuing her development and increasing her recruitability to various programs in the Midwest.
