Northern Wisconsin AAU BasketballNorthern Wisconsin AAU Basketball can typically be found in the programs like Wisconsin Playmakers, Northland Elite or Team Wisconsin. These are true AAU Basketball teams that focus on playing in A'AU sanctioned tournaments that host AAU member teams for purposes of athlete exposure, and getting in front of college coaches and sports writers.
Rising Stars Basketball is a player-centered development program and we compete in AAU basketball tournaments. There is a difference. Our Focus and Mission Our focus is development of the athlete; physically, emotionally, and socially. Our goal is to help develop the athlete through skill enhancement programming, leadership and team-building. The reward for these players is to participate and compete in AAU tournaments. Everyone loves a winner, but our focus isn't winning. It is taking an athlete in the 12U introductory group and develop them over the next 5 years to help them achieve the highest potential possible through on-court performance, off-court character and leadership. Three Sport Athletes Our goal is to help foster the growth and development of three sport athletes. Our season and off-season programming work around the athletes that play in multiple sports. Multi-sport athletes display improved health and wellness, including decreased injury rates, improved athletic performance, improved leadership skills and teamwork, better attendance in school and better academic performance. We will never make an athlete choose between a Spring sport or AAU Basketball. Northern Wisconsin AAU Basketball Programs The Wisconsin Playmakers are a large club located in Western Wisconsin and identify as the premier youth basketball organization focused on competitive play. Their website states, "Our athletes have a proven track record of success at the HS and Collegiate levels. If you are a player looking to develop your skills to be a better HS player or looking to play at the next level, we are the program to help you achieve your goals." Their athletes do go through try-out periods, and those who do not make the team, do not play. They have to either find another club, or go without a development program in the summer months. Team Wisconsin is another club located in the Menomonie Wisconsin area and identifies as a club that plays the best in other states. The website states, "Best Teams. Best Athletes." Team Wisconsin also has athletes go through try-out periods, and those who do not make the team, do not play. They also have to find another club, or go without a development program in the summer months. Team Wisconsin has a great track record of athletes going on to achieve Division 1 scholarship offers and playing in the collegiate ranks. Northland Elite Basketball is located in Ashland Wisconsin. Northland Elite is like Rising Stars, we both provide an opportunity to play in the summer, work on their game and compete at a high-level against some of the top teams in the state of Wisconsin. Their website states, "The club puts a strong emphasis on individual skill and character development and strives to create a positive learning environment for each athlete. Players from the Northland Elite program walk away as better basketball players and better people." Rising Stars Basketball Club is located in Hayward Wisconsin and focuses exclusively on player development. All of our practices are structured to include the principles of I'm Possible Training by Micah Lancaster, an NBA Skills Trainer and featured in the Netflix film, 'Hustle.' Rising Stars is a 12-week player-centered development program sprinkled in with four (4) AAU Tournaments, so the athletes can see their progressions in action, develop new wrinkles into their game, and focus on development versus try-outs, and interstate travel. Our model is very affordable for families, our travel is limited, and our skill enhancement training is next-to-none.
